When you visit our website www.rewardtune.io (the “Website”), and more generally use our CPA network, offerwall, Market Research surveys, CPI and CPA offers, or any other service on the website (the “Product” or “Services”, which include the Website), we appreciate that you are trusting us with your personal information.

We take your privacy very seriously. In this Policy, we seek to explain to you in the clearest way possible what information we collect, how we use it and what rights you have in relation to it. We hope you take some time to read through it carefully, as it is important. If there are any terms in this Policy that you do not agree with, please discontinue the use of our Services immediately.

We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Policy, the terms used in this Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Use. Our Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern all use of our Service and together with the Policy constitute your agreement with us (“Agreement”).

If this Policy is modified in any way, it will be updated here. Regularly checking and reviewing this page ensures that you are updated on the information which may be collected, used (and under what circumstances), and if it may be shared with other parties (if at all). If we believe that the modifications are material, we will notify you of the changes by posting a notice on the Website, or emailing you at the email address provided to us by you, and as we may deem appropriate. What constitutes a material change will be determined by us, at our sole and absolute discretion.

This Policy applies to all information collected through our Services (which, as described above, includes our Website), as well as any related services, sales, marketing or events.

Key definitions

What information do we collect?

The personal information you disclose to us

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Website, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when participating in surveys on the Website, or otherwise when you contact us.

The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Website, the choices you make and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:

Personal information provided by you

Visitors can read the public pages of the Website without creating an account or disclosing personal data. To create an account we typically ask for your name, email address and a password, and we use those details to provide the Service.

We may also collect gender, postal address, email address, address, date of birth/age, professional details, profiling details (including gender, highest completed level of education, occupation, marital status and annual/monthly income), and some other demographic data.

Information that may be collected automatically

When you access our websites, we, our service providers and our partners may automatically collect information about you, your computer or mobile device, and activity on our websites. Typically, this information includes your computer or mobile device operating system type and version number, manufacturer and model, device identifier, browser type, screen resolution, IP address, the website you visited before browsing to our website, general location information such as city, state or geographic area, and information about your use of and actions on or in our websites, such as pages or screens you accessed, how long you spent on a page or screen, navigation paths between pages or screens, information about your activity on a page or screen, access times, and length of access.

Our service providers and business partners may collect this type of information over time and across third-party websites. This information is collected via various mechanisms, such as via cookies, web beacons, embedded scripts, and similar technologies. This type of information may also be collected when you read our HTML-enabled emails. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the Website. See our Cookie Policy. Most browsers accept cookies by default. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or to ask before a cookie is stored. Some parts of the Service may not work without cookies.

The information we collect includes:

Log and usage data. Log and usage data is service-related, diagnostic, usage and performance information our servers may automatically collect when you access or use our website and which we record in log files. Depending on how you interact with us, this log data may include your IP address, device information, browser type and settings and information about your activity in the Website (such as the date/time stamps associated with your usage, pages and files viewed, searches and other actions you take such as which features you use), device event information (such as system activity, error reports (sometimes called “crash dumps”) and hardware settings).
Device data. We may collect device data such as information about your computer, phone, tablet or other device you use to access the Website. Depending on the device used, this device data may include information such as your IP address (or proxy server), device application identification numbers, location, browser type, hardware model, Internet service provider and/or mobile carrier, operating system and configuration information.

This information includes mailing addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, intent data (or user behavior data), Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, social media profiles, social media URLs and custom profiles, for purposes of targeted advertising and event promotion.

The information collected from you may be used to operate, provide, develop and improve our services. Data like personal data and other technical data is used to provide services, process payments and communicate with you, and to improve all our services.

How we use your information

These purposes include:

To facilitate your participation in a survey or surveys, fraud detection and prevention, copyright infringement, data validation, incentive or reward fulfilment (if applicable), identifying respondents for re-contact surveys or communications, database matching, data append, coding, data segmentation, and/or developing data insights regarding survey participants, but not for marketing purposes without your consent.
To enable user-to-user communications. We may use your information in order to enable user-to-user communications with each user’s consent.
To manage user accounts. We may use your information for the purposes of managing our account and keeping it in working order.
To send administrative information to you. We may use your personal information to send you product, service and new feature information and/or information about changes to our terms, conditions and policies.
To protect our Services. We may use your information as part of our efforts to keep our Website safe and secure (for example, for fraud monitoring and prevention).
To enforce our terms, conditions and policies for business purposes, to comply with legal and regulatory requirements or in connection with our contract.

If we send you a promotional email, that email will include a way to stop further messages. You can also write to us and ask us to stop.

Surveys

Taking a survey through the offerwall is your choice. You can skip a question, leave a survey, or stop taking part. If you leave before it is finished, you may not qualify for that reward.

A publisher or survey partner usually holds the account you have with them. They decide why that account information is used. We handle information only so the offer can be matched and completed. Questions about that account should go to them. We decide how information is used for a RewardTune publisher account and for this Website.

Survey answers passed to a research client are shared without direct identifiers, unless you have agreed otherwise.

We do not sell or lease personal information. We are not in the business of selling user data.

We may process or share your data that we hold based on the following legal basis:

Consent. We may process your data if you have given us specific consent to use your personal information for a specific purpose.
Legitimate interests. We may process your data when it is reasonably necessary to achieve our legitimate business interests.
Performance of a contract. Where we have entered into a contract with you, we may process your personal information to fulfil the terms of our contract.

We may share information when a law enforcement agency requires it, or with survey partners and affiliate networks so that a survey, CPI or CPA offer can be delivered. We limit what we share to what they need for that purpose. Survey data is not used for marketing without your consent.

We work with publishers and partners in many countries, so personal information may be processed outside the country where you live. When that happens, we use the safeguards the applicable law requires.

What is our stance on third-party websites?

The Website may contain advertisements from third parties that are not affiliated with us and which may link to other websites and online services. We cannot guarantee the safety and privacy of the data you provide to any third parties. Any data collected by third parties is not covered by this Policy. We are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of any third parties, including other websites, services or applications that may be linked to or from the Website. You should review the policies of such third parties and contact them directly to respond to your questions.

We hereby disclaim liability for any information, materials, products, or services posted or offered at any of the third-party sites linked to this Website. By creating a link to a third-party website, we do not endorse or recommend any products or services offered or information contained on that website, nor are we liable for any failure of products or services offered or advertised at those sites. Such a third party may have a privacy policy different from ours, and the third-party website may provide less security than this site.

How long do we keep your information?

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements). No purpose in this Policy will require us to keep your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible. Once information has been anonymized, it can no longer be linked to you, and we may not be able to delete it.

How do we keep your information safe?

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. Access to personal data is limited to people who need it for their role. A vendor that processes personal data for us must protect it under contract. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our website is at your own risk. You should only access the Website within a secure environment. If personal information is breached and the law requires us to tell you, we will.

Payments

Advertisers and vendors pay us for advertising placed through the Service. We use third-party services to process those payments, such as PayPal and bank transfer in India. For those payments we may store a payment email or payment ID in encrypted form.

We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors, whose use of your personal information is governed by their privacy policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.

If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, data protection law gives you these rights:

Access. You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and for the purposes we use it for.
Rectification. You can ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
Erasure. You can ask us to delete your personal data when the law says we no longer have a reason to keep it.
Restriction. You can ask us to limit how we use your personal data while a request is being checked.
Portability. You can ask for a copy of the personal data you gave us, in a structured format that a machine can read.
Objection. You can object to our use of your personal data, including use for direct marketing. If you object to marketing, we will stop.
Withdraw consent. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. That does not undo use that was already lawful.
Automated decisions. You can object to a decision that has a legal or similarly important effect on you and is made by automated means alone. Matching an offer is not that kind of decision.

Write to [email protected] or to the data protection officer below. We may ask you to prove your identity. We reply within one month. There is no fee unless a request is clearly excessive. We may not be able to provide the Service without some necessary data.

You can also complain to your local data protection authority. In the United Kingdom, that authority is the Information Commissioner’s Office.

India

If India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies to you, you can ask to see your personal data, have it corrected, or have it erased, and you can raise a grievance with us. Your data protection rights under the CCPA

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us using the contact information provided below.

If you are under 18 years of age, reside in California, and have a registered account with the Website, you have the right to request removal of unwanted data that you publicly post on the Website. To request removal of such data, please contact us using the contact information provided below, and include the email address associated with your account and a statement that you reside in California. We will make sure the data is not publicly displayed on the Website, but please be aware that the data may not be completely or comprehensively removed from all our systems (for example, backups).

CCPA privacy notice

The California Code of Regulations defines a “resident” as:

every individual who is in the State of California for other than a temporary or transitory purpose, and
every individual who is domiciled in the State of California who is outside the State of California for a temporary or transitory purpose.

All other individuals are defined as “non-residents.”

If this definition of “resident” applies to you, you have the rights below. The personal information we collect falls into categories such as identifiers (name and email), commercial information (payout and payment details), internet activity (pages, device and log data), approximate location, and professional or demographic details you choose to give us.

Right to know and to delete

You can ask whether we collect personal information, the categories we collect, why we collect it, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to. You can ask us to delete it. We will not provide or delete information that has been de-identified. We reply within 45 days. If the law allows one extension, we will tell you.

We respect a deletion request, subject to exceptions the law allows, such as a legal duty to keep a record or a need to protect against illegal activity.

Right to correct

You can ask us to correct personal information that is inaccurate.

Right to opt out of sale or sharing

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. You can still tell us not to do either in the future. We will act on that request within 15 days. An authorized agent may send the request if they prove they are allowed to act for you. We may refuse an agent who does not provide that proof.

Sensitive personal information

You can ask us to use sensitive personal information only for what is needed to provide the Service, keep it secure, and meet the law.

Right to non-discrimination

We will not deny the Service, charge a different price, or provide a lower quality of service because you used these rights.

Access to your information

You can ask what personal information we hold about you by opening a support ticket or by emailing [email protected]. Access is free. We may ask you to prove your identity before we respond. You can ask us to complete, correct or delete information that is inaccurate or no longer needed. We may refuse a request. If we do, we will tell you why.

Deletion of account and data

If you no longer wish to use our services, you may ask us to delete the account or delete the personal data we have by opening a support ticket or by emailing us at the address at the bottom of this page. Upon receiving the request, we remove personal data that is no longer needed within 48 hours to 7 days.

When an account is closed, we mark it closed or banned and may keep that account record. This stops someone from avoiding fraud checks by closing an account and opening a new one. That record is not used for any other purpose, and it is not sold or shared, except where needed to prevent fraud, assist law enforcement, or comply with the law.

Note: You can delete only your account.

Children’s privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that we have received information about a child under 13, we remove it from our servers. A person aged 13 to 18 may browse the Website or take part in an offer only with a parent or guardian’s permission. That permission does not allow a publisher account. It is the responsibility of the individual and the parent or guardian to make sure that permission is in place.

Modifications to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Last updated” date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes to this Policy, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this Policy frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.

Complaints

You can notify us of any complaint you may have about our handling of your personal information via email.

We will endeavour to reply to you within 30 days of receipt of the complaint, and we hope that we will be able to resolve any complaints you may have without needing to involve third parties.

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), RewardTune has appointed a dedicated Data Protection Officer (DPO) to oversee the organization’s data protection strategy and ensure ongoing compliance with GDPR requirements.
