Overview
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are and how RewardTune (“we”, “us”, or “our”) uses them on www.rewardtune.io (the “Website”). It also covers similar technologies, such as pixels and web beacons.
Read it so you know which cookies the Website uses, what they collect, and how you can limit them. How we use personal information is set out in the Privacy Policy.
The public pages of the Website do not use a cookie banner or an on-site cookie settings tool. You control cookies in your browser, and through the opt-out links below.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device when you visit a website or use an application. They can remember a preference so you do not have to enter the same detail on every visit, and they can help a page work.
Some cookies are set by us. Others are set by a third party whose tool or offer appears on the Service. A session cookie is removed when you close the browser. A persistent cookie stays until you delete it or it reaches its expiry date.
Cookies we use
The cookies on the Service fall into these groups. We do not publish a full list of cookie names and expiry times, because those details belong to the browser and to the third party that sets the cookie.
- Strictly necessary
- You can read the public pages without a RewardTune cookie. If you sign in at the publisher application, that application may store a cookie so you stay signed in. You can block cookies in your browser. Some parts of the application, such as staying logged in, may then stop working. These cookies are not used to build an advertising profile.
- Analytics and performance
- We use Google Analytics on the Website to see how people reach the pages, which pages are used, and where the site can be improved. Google may store a cookie to recognise a browser across visits, and Google processes that analytics data. The information is used in aggregate. We do not sell information collected by these cookies, and we do not use Google Analytics on the public Website to show ads. Google’s own rules for those cookies are at Google’s cookie information. If you block these cookies, or use Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on, we cannot see that visit in Analytics.
- Advertising and offer partners
- These public pages do not load Facebook or Bing advertising tags. An advertiser, survey partner, or offer you open through the offerwall may set its own cookie to count a view, prevent fraud, or show an ad. That cookie belongs to that partner, not to RewardTune. The Privacy Policy explains when we share information with those partners.
How we use them
We use cookies and similar tools to:
- Keep a signed-in session working on the publisher application.
- Understand how the Website is used, find problems, and improve it.
- Help with survey control and fraud prevention when an offer or survey is involved.
How to control them
Most browsers accept cookies until you change that setting. You can:
- Set the browser to warn you before a cookie is stored.
- Block cookies from this Website, or block third-party cookies.
- Delete cookies that are already stored.
If you block cookies, parts of the Service can stop working. A blocked session cookie can sign you out. Each browser on each device has its own setting, so a choice on your computer does not change your phone.
Browser guides:
Some browsers also offer a “do not track” or tracking-prevention setting. That setting tells sites you do not want behavioural advertising. It is a signal. Not every site or partner is required to follow it.
Interest-based ads
If an offer partner uses one of these advertising services, you can limit interest-based ads in that service’s own settings:
How targeted advertising works is explained by the Network Advertising Initiative at networkadvertising.org.
Other tracking
We, or a service provider, may use a web beacon, a pixel, or a similar tag on a page or in an email. These count visits and help us see whether a message was opened. They collect a limited set of data, such as a cookie identifier, the time of the view, and which page or email it sat on. You cannot switch a pixel off by itself. Limiting the cookies that work with it limits what it can do.
The Google tag on the public Website is the Google Analytics tag described above.
Changes
We may update this policy. If a change is significant, we will post a notice on the Website or email the address you gave us. Check this page from time to time so you see the current version.
